A Booklet about public spaces
around the globe is coming soon!
The World’s Public Spaces: A Cultural Placemaking
Mosaic: This project envisions a visually captivating
and culturally rich booklet that celebrates public
spaces from around the world. Each page will
document the name of a public space, capture its
unique design and atmosphere through artistic
doodles, and explore how local communities
engage with and enjoy these environments. By
incorporating insights and stories from diverse
communities, the booklet will offer a mosaic of
experiences, shedding light on the social, cultural,
and functional roles these spaces play. Ultimately,
the project seeks to inspire a deeper appreciation
for public spaces, while contributing to more
inclusive and vibrant urban environments through
meaningful community engagement.

I engage in sketch noting, which involves taking both visual and text-based notes during conversations. I also specialize in live graphic recording, which is a valuable tool for engaging with individuals who learn best through visual aids. This technique can be used to create engaging flyers, social media posts, and booklets.

Community Development
I believe that community development is a multifaceted field that requires a range of skills and expertise. Depending on the needs of the community, you may need to focus on specific details, such as simply repairing a curb, or take a broader approach to tackle issues like conflict resolution through effective actions, and policies.
My ultimate goal is to create a community where art can flourish, serving as a vital tool for both healing and community engagement.

Community Engagement
In summer 2019, I co-moderated a workshop at the Notion of Human City
Institute in Tehran, focusing on conflict dynamics. We designed "The Chair
Game," where participants were secretly instructed to place chairs in different
locations, leading to physical and cooperative conflicts. After the game, we
discussed conflict resolution strategies and applied them to a hypothetical
scenario involving the construction of a Mega Mall in Tehran. The session
concluded with a discussion of Robert Chambers’s "The Poverty Trap" and
visual recordings of our insights.
